Press/Reviews

"Chase & Jessica offer a fresh new voice in the musical theatre world with powerful storylines and exquisite melodies! A dynamic duo with a bright future ahead! They understand the power of collaboration, which creates an efficient and highly creative pre-production period!"-Ricardo Aponte, Choreographer/Director

“Jessica and Chase have a knack for writing incredibly melodic music and they also have such a penchant for interesting, unexpected stories. It is always a treat to see what new tricks they have up their sleeves.”-Freddie Ashley, Artistic Director, Actor's Express

"Chase and Jessica are two of the most exciting and innovative composers/singers/musicians with whom I've ever had the pleasure of working in my career. Their music is consistently rich, complex, surprising, and moving. I've been so impressed with the variety of song, tone, rhythm, and emotion they are able to infuse into their work. Their lyrics are as good as their music. As an actor and director myself, I'm always looking for opportunities to develop character, to better tell the story, create depth and insight into the human condition, to tell a "Ripping Good Yarn" that goes beyond the obvious and the expected and brings a story to life. Chase and Jessica's storytelling provide all those things, not only for an actor or a director, but most importantly, for an audience.

This last year I've had the opportunity to work with Chase and Jessica on the new musical THE PRETTY PANTS BANDIT, for Georgia Ensemble Theatre. It's been a delight. For two such accomplished talents there is a joy, an excitement, a desire to develop and discover their own work with fresh eyes. And, they listen to ideas. They collaborate. They want to push the envelope, to make things even better, never settle. And, they're fun.

It's rare to find a writing/composing team that's capable of doing more than one aspect of musical theatre well. Oftentimes most playwrights/composers/lyricists may be brilliant at one, but wanting in others. Chase Peacock and Jessica De Maria can do it all, and do it extremely well to boot. And, they both can sing a little, too. "
-James Donadio, Associate Artistic Director of Georgia Ensemble Theatre

"Chase and Jessica have amazing talent and are a great team. The music they've composed (and performed) frankly just blew us all away! I would use them in a heartbeat for more projects."-Michael Van Osch, Marketing Director, Georgia Ensemble Theatre

Reviews for Vivian, a ghost story

"Very entertaining! Quality acting and singing for a small theater off the Marietta Square. It was truly a "ghost story." Would recommend this play to all that enjoy musicals."

"Current, inventive, and oh-so creepy. The cast and venue were perfect. The must-see of the season."

"Amazing cast! Fun show for the season!"

"When the three family members are ranged across the stage to sing "The Tides," the wave of stereophonic sound is pure rapture. All duets dive into rapturous territory too, with glorious vocal harmonies abounding."
